Re: the red & white 'rope' beneath the mine car on Spring View's sign & the crested china - photo.

There's a pub called The Walmsley Arms in Spring View - its sign has red/white 'ribbons' depicted upon it - which made me think to look up the Walmsley Coat of Arms:

Could the white/red beneath the lion be coincidental & what does it depict - any ideas?
