I stand corrected; one indeed came through Wigan, albeit on an excursion. In general though, these fine engines were allocated east of the pennines on the Eastern region or North Eastern or Scottish regions...We did get the odd visit from the B1's on the Liverpool Exchange line via the Pemberton loop.

several b1,s where allocated to agecroft for some reason ,they were not well liked thaty,s why they appeared on liverpool trains
