I bet you wished you still had the left handed Watkins Rapier you sold me in 1963 for 10 quid I wonder what that would be worth now. Dave

MY DAD USED TO PLAY THE CLUBS WITH MACKIE IN THE 1960S, THEY WERE KNOWN AS "THE THREE JAYS". DAD [JOHN HUGHES],MACKIE AND "BIG" JIMMY WAINWRIGHT THEY PLAYED ALL THE WORKING MENS CLUBS BACK THEN, PLAYING POPULAR MUSIC OF THE DAY ,THE BEATLES ETC. MY DAD PASSED AWAY ON CHRISTMAS DAY 1992, AND BIG JIM ABOUT 10 YRS AGO AT HIS HOME IN NORTH WALES. IVE WONDERED FOR SOME TIME IF MACKIE IS STILL OUT THERE,I REMEMBER HIM ONCE PLUGGING IN HIS WATKINS AMP AND PLAYING HIS HOFNER IN THE SAME LIVING ROOM THAT I NOW WRITE THIS COMMENT. THEY WERE GREAT DAYS. THANKS MACKIE.
ALAN HUGHES.
