This is great Kath. Just think when this was taken I was sitting directly across from you. Think we were known as 'the band with all the legs' hahaha! What brilliant times we had. xx
nice pic Kath, I cant imagine that now. thanks for sharin
Bless em, practising their little hearts out but destined to be perenial runners up to the maestro's of Wigan & District (boys band) LOL. Great photo Kath, i think Diane has fallen asleep
Aw poor Stephen, obviously you are one of the few male chauvinists that couldn't hack it when we beat them! (fortunately most of the lads were very gracious in defeat)
Kath, Sorry if i upset you. My remarks were said in fun, not malice. These old photo's bring me nothing but pleasure and i honestly couldn't care less who won the comps. Hope this clears up any missunderstanding. I'm trying to find some old photo's of W&D (as i've lost all mine)and to this end i'm going to the Brass Band Archive in Wigan to see if i can find some. I'll have a look for any Trinity stuff as well whilst i'm there.
Apology accepted Stephen, and I'm sorry too that I mis-interpreted your comments. Anyway now that we have cleared that up, do you know Ken Pollitt, and if so, do you know how he is doing these days?
Sorry Kath, I havn't seen Ken since i left the band in 72. In fact i havn't seen any of tha lads since leaving. Sue Atkins mentioned he'd gone into the police force. I did get a post just recently from Dave Bellis. He's playing trumpet in a jazz band in Aussie. Sue is trying to get in touch with Jim Tollit via his son to see if he has any old W&D photo's. If i can get in touch with Jim i'll ask if he knows what any of the lads are up to these days. Can it really be 35yrs?
