My Father, Jack Turner, was a member of Hindley AMMIES up to 1952.He went to live in Blackburn and joined the Amateurs there.He was presented with a 25 years Service medal there for his time in Wigan, Hindley & Blackburn Societies. I also remember him telling me that Janey lived at a farm near the canal bridge at Red Rock.
Norman Spooner went to Hindley & Abram Grammar' when I did.
