Great picture, think it was taken a year or so after i left the Brigade. We had some great times, to raise money for the Brigade and all our stuff, all the mothers used to help out and arrange domino drives, jumble sales etc. There were Saturday night dances as well, really great times, thanks for the memories, l remember loads of the girls on the picture, l went to school with some of them.

Hi, Jimcrews, sorry I don't remember you but I do remember Irene. Our family 'Fairhursts' lived at the top of the street from Irene's and I, Carole, was friendly with Vivien, my sister Doreen was more of Irene's age and I know they were friends. I remember Eric and Bertha and saw them occasionally when we moved to Norley Hall in the 1960s. My sister and brother Keith live in Georgia in the states and our parents have died, Mum just going last August. How is all the Glover family, I don't think I have seen or heard of Vivien or the others since the move. I know everyone says they were the best times but they really were. People cared about one another and you could go into anyones house in 'our streets' in Goose Green. Best wishes to all

Hi Jim.
This is Doreen, Carole's sister. Yes I was friends with Irene. Isn't it great how we can get in touch nowadays - Good Ol' Computer. Carole has a hard time reminding me who and where everyone and everything was - even the family. She reckons I was adopted.
I do remember how safe we always felt. Playing in the streets and visiting each other's houses. For our kid's and grandkid's sake, I wish it was anything like that now. Good Times! Say Hi to Irene for me. See ya! Doreen
