Couple photographed about 1920. I have a vague memory that the lady was called Nellie Harrington, but cannot be sure. Does anyone recognise her?
Perhaps more likely an engagement picture? A wedding picture would normally show the ring(s). 1917 an Ellen Harrington (1897-?) married a Charles Edwards (1893-?) at St Peter's in Hindley. Or else an Ellen Harrington in 1920 married a Joseph Gavaghan (1895-?) at Wigan Register Office.
