This photo isn't totally unknown to me, as it features my grand uncle Alf Matthews (1905-1980) on the far left of the back row. I'm not sure where it was taken though. Alf belonged to the Independent Methodist Church, so I'm guessing that it features either Westwood IM Chapel (his church as a youngster) or Aspull Dicconson Lane IM Chapel (where he worshipped in later life). Any ideas?

The man on the front row next to the lady is the image of my grandfather James Jeffrey Calderbank he died in the 1980s his family lived in whelley. He is so much like this person i am sure he must be a calderbank does anyone know who this man is?

I'm almost certain that this is in Westwood Chapel in Lower Ince.
The Church is still open and there must be some people ther who will remember this photo

yes peter your right, it is it is westwood chaple,i used to go there as a child,i dont recognize anyone but the man on the far left of the picture on the back row his face is very familiar

Yes it is indeed Dicconson lane methodist Chapel, I used to attend regulary in my youth. My uncle Jimmy is end person back row
