16th July 1994 - Diamond Jubilee celebration of the opening of the Queensway Tunnel (Mersey Tunnel to you and I) This bus was in the cavalcade of Historic Motor Vehicles (PSV section) that travelled through the tunnel from Liverpool to Birkenhead (Wirral Transport Museum). Interesting to note that DJP 751/752/753 delivered in Aug/Sept 1958 and were Massey Bodied. This one is NC body.

Not only is it a proper bus, Pete, it's also a proper colour. Another mysterious decision by the Wigan Council to abandon tradition and 'Wiganise' blue and green all over the town.
