Well Susan Banks nee Bridge, this is not just an old car this is the la cream la cream, original Rolls Royce I'am tempted to say silver ghost, I think the shadow came out later. And if you had it now in that condition you would be laughing all the way to the bank. In side would be pure leather & walnut trim, with internal insulation just like a coach. I remember when I worked on Jags & rollers I used have to wait for the trained Rolls Royce mechanic to give me the go ahead before I could touch it.Just to give you some idea of value, the radiator with flying lady is the price of an average modern car.
definitely a wigan registration anyone any ideas of year .wigan registrations were ek and jp
My father had a 1935 Standard JP639 and a !937 Morris JP 1751 .
It looks very much like a Rolls Royce Phantom ll, around 1932. Would be worth a few bob.
It's a Eliot Ness type Roller.
AB, if your father's 1937 Morris was registered JP 1571 then this car registered JP 2822 would logically be a 1937 or post 1937 model. To me it looks too old fashioned to be a mid to late thirties model, more like the 1932 date suggested by Colin Harlow. Could it perhaps have previously been registered outside the U.K.?
Derek' I agree, I have noted that the Phantom ii was produced 1929 to 1935 and this car fits this era, Firstly though is it JP ? registered. and as you comment could have been re-registered
AB, thanks for your response. If it is not JP registered, OP or UP would seem to be the only alternatives. Must say the location of this shot and the design of the houses in the near background do not seem to be anywhere I can recognise as local.
