I'd have said 1880's but the girl's hemline is a bit short for then

Could this photo have been taken abroad somewhere? USA or Canada Perhaps? Something about the costumes makes me think they could be North American people.

Really AW? Not that i can think of. We did have family that went to America but i think that was in the 1920s possibly 30's. Later than this photo i would imagine.

Karen - youngest is female.
Has this photo been reproduced as a reversed image? The buttons on the men's jackets and waistcoats are on the wrong side.

I have no idea if it's been reversed or not, does the little girls coat seem to button on the same side?

Karen - on the photo, the men's buttons appear to be on the left hand side of their garments, and on the right hand side on the girl's.
This is the opposite to the way in which male and female clothes have always been tailored, so I think we can safely say the image has been accidentally reversed at some stage.
