Just been rooting in my stuff and found this magazine. I remember my dad getting it in the 1950's but can never remember him making anything. I think he got it to impress the neighbours. I know it ain't Wigan related but what a story the cover tells.( all the covers were great works of art indicative of the era)

Those two chaps should have Hi viz jackets,hard hats and steel toe caps !

I have an old Hobbies magazine dating from around this time and one of the cosntruction projects is "A Lie Detector For Christmas". Beat that for Christmas spirit!
