Peter if you are behind Worthingtons butchers in the Market Place as it was then NOT Market St, then the building on the right couldn,t be part of The Black Bull. The Bull would be on the left.

This shot is taken with the butcher shop and entrance gate behind me, and the cutting-up shop to my left; the buildings facing us now are the stables and the right hand end is the slaughter house. Over and behind the buildings is the bowling green from when it was an Inn (Eagle and Child, back to Cromwell days), and beyond that is High St. so the building on the right is belonging to the Black Bull Hotel. Out of shot and to the right at the side of the wall there was a stone that we as children would stand on, and chat to anyone who was in the pub garden. It used to be named Market Place, and somewhere in history it was changed to Market Street, I know in 1892 it was Market Place. If you are ever walking past Roy, you could have a look but you won't see those buildings.
