In this photo, Mrs Anne Harrison, (Nee LLoyd) 17yrs old in 1943. At the time living at 18 Marlborough Ave, Spring View, Wigan.
Miss Lloyd is pictured middle row, 3rd from RIGHT.
Anyone recall any others in the group?

Training for what exactly, if you'll excuse my ignorance.

The girls training corps was set up during wartime to train and prepare young girls who were not yet old enough to join the armed forces. They did drills, fist aid, community and war effort work among other things - general preparation for active service if they were needed when older.
