Wigan Album

I remember my Grandfather going on these day trips every few Wednesdays,(he worked all Saturday- he was the Manager at Wigan Baths for many years, so Wednesday was his day off) and also to Llandudno. He went off with the Pub Landlord of the Baths Hotel from across the road in Millgate.
It was only years later that my Grandmother told me that the attraction wasn't so much the bracing sea air, but the fact that the bar was open on the boat from the minute they left Liverpool. Wise men back in the days of limited opening eh ?
