Was this the old Court Cinerma on King Street ? If so does anyone know that the "Royal" connection was ?

Yes the Court Cinema superseded the Royal Court Theatre. My brother in law was doing some building work on the building, some 40 years ago,and he said under the stage it was full of costumes, and in a back room he found hundreds of old bills advertising plays. However he said, due to the damp over the years they just all crumbled to pieces when he tried to pick them up.
