Love these Ron! I have some old Brooke Bond Tea brown paper bags and two white 3-cornered toffee-bags, now brown with age, and some old brown-paper carrier bags with string handles, but nothing with local adverts. When my daughter got married in 2009 she made individual cakes that looked like pies for the family, being Wiganers, and she asked me to ask Edwards' Bakery for some bags with their logo on to put them in, and they had stopped doing them. I love the Redmans Christmas bag!

Wow, what a reminiscence. I was a butchers boy at Smailes in the market hall in 1961. I used to do a 'Granville' and ride the shop bike around town with meat deliveries and take large trays of mince to the bakery in Standishgate, for their pies, just across the lights, I think the name was Vose or something similar. I always took the bones and stuff up to the Scholes factory and a small dog would always look out for me in the back lanes near to the factory where I would give him a 'free sample'

Ah, happy days.
