Great picture.
The Springs Branch crew that day was Driver Sammy Wigan and his brother Bill Wigan as secondman.

Loco named by olympic swimmer June Croft.
Also present where the Houghton Weavers and my Father (Allan Parkinson) who was station supervisor on duty that day.

I remember the day well as I bunked off school to see the naming ceremony in platform 1 at North Western, never regretted it! 14th September 1984.
