Reminds me a little of Parkside just off Bridge Street, Hindley, but I'm not certain.

Your right Bill the photo is taken from Danes Ave.
Iremember the houses at Parkside as the hedges gave great shade to catch large stone loaches and sticklebacks.I do remember the large well kept lawns as well and finding some of the old bottles in the brook the owners threw in.
