My Mum, Joyce Margaret Hamill (nee Arkwright) is in the photo. Would love to know where it was taken or any other info. Could possibly have been late 30's or early 40's.

The crest over the stage should offer some clue - though I must admit it doesn't to me!
You'd think the crest would be a clue wouldn't you but I don't recognise it either. Looks like 3 gun carriages but can't imagine where it is or when. Pity I didn't inherit my Mums figure!

Hmmm... could it be something to do with the Drill Hall in Powell St? Also the panto could be Jack and the Beanstalk with your mum as Jack - Principle Boy
You could be right there Ian but I've never been in the drill hall so wouldn't know about that bit.
