Hi Tommy it look's like Ormskirk Road Pemberton. I think the building with assurane on the brickwork above the window's maybe the old Pearl offices near to the T.S.B bank opposite the White Lion Pub. I'm may be wrong though.

Looks like Ormskirk Rd Pemberton. The shop on the left, is now a shop where they refill Printer cartridges. I remember the newsagents. Can't remember the name though???

ramsdens used to have that shop in the early sixties

The paper shop was Ramsdens I worked for him as a paperboy 56 years ago.

The tall man in uniform is Lawrence King, Bandmaster St John Ambulance Brigade, Wigan -- He worked as a butcher in Wigan Market Hall
on his dad Frank King's stall
