The semi detached houses, 235 Ormskirk Rd & next door were built by the Dickinson brothers. They lived over the road from us at Holland Moor & owned the Lyric Cinema at Upholland. Their grandaughter Carol was my friend & we used to go to the Lyric on Saturday afternoons... for free! Grandad driving us there in his big black car. Flash Gordon, Roy Rogers & Trigger, The Lone Ranger & Tonto...oh those were the days !

I remember watching Davey Crocket here and going from Upholland infants and into the Junior years through the 1960's for our Christmas Parties.All walking hand in hand up Parliment Street. Then in the late sixties having the scouts meetings there................good good times.The Bradshaw name rings a bell also some were in my memory.
