A blotter size 7" x 4 1/2". advertising Hovis Bread, baked by, Gaskell's Bakery, Bradshaw Street Pemberton.
when we had the shop in Billinge Road, the front had been painted before the war by Gaskells, advertising their bread and cakes. The paint was so good I only painted over it in 1965

used to work here when i first left school think it was called gossips were the bakery was
