I rarely add colourisation to b/w photos but I think this one came out reasonably well. It’s Wigan’s team that faced Belle Vue Rangers in the Lancashire Cup semi-final at Central Park on 15th October 1951 and won 22 - 9.

Thank you for those comments, the colourisation simply could not be easier, one click of the button on the website does it, but as I said the results are variable and more often than not disappointing but this one came through.
John you’ve done good job in naming the team, Harry Street was correct also and the only one you missed was George Curran, a Wigan born forward ad GB Tourist.

Difficult to make out but the hoarding advertising sign at the far end of the Douglas Stand, does it advertise Princes Cinema?
