does anyone know anyone belonging to him because he was my great uncle

Yes, he was my great great uncle and is also related to Mark Ring, ex Wales as well, but not sure how. Went to Aberavon last year and saw his name on the honor's board, very proud. He retired to Port Talbot after his playing days were over.

Hi all,

I am currently writing a book on the history of Welsh players who played for Wigan. I am trying to get in touch with family members to discuss their lives and careers. Hopefully my email will show on here if you would like to contact me.

Thanks

I presume you meant Mark Ring retired to Port Talbot? I knew Johnny Ring a lot later in his life (1960s) and he lived then in Wigan, working as a physio. Or if you did mean Johnny then he certainly came back from Port Talbot at some point.
