As a former Beech Hiller, plenty of faces familiar to me, but unfortunately, after all this time I can't put names to them.

On the far left, that is Wilfred Ganderton, my granduncle.
Behind him is his father Edward Ganderton.
Also his other son Richard Ganderton is on this picture
On the far right is my great grandfather Thomas Green.
My great grandmother Ellen Green is standing at the back next to the door frame
2 young lads at the front are my granduncles, Thomas & Derek Green.

My grandparents were Jimmy Green & Jean Ganderton

Me looking into my Family history and taking DNA proved that Edward wasn't my grandmothers biological father. So Wilfred and Richard are only my half granduncles.

Kevin, I have been racking my brain again in an unsuccessful attempt to put names to faces. Two people in this photo are exceptionally familiar. One is the teenage boy second from right in the second row, who appears to be about the same age that I would have been in 1954. The other is the girl (young woman ?) fourth from right in the same row. Hope someone else is able to help you.

I had a Dennis Ganderton in my class at Beech Hill school. Is he related I wonder

Yeah, Dennis is my mum's cousin. All Ganderton's in Wigan are related.
