Born in ' dolly tub ' row ( Eaton cottages ) Simms lane end, he later moved to Haydock, so no actual connection with Wigan really, my uncle Bill drove one of the three locos ( Busy Bee, Wasp and Hornet ) that were owned and operated by J&R Stones Park colliery at Garswood.
