Wigan Album

My gr gr grandfather second row third from the left. John Shaw Hart of 77 Darlington st Wigan. He married Jane Clough and worked at the Pepper Mill Foundry for 62 years, he was a member of the Old Volenteers for 15 years and was senior sergeant, he was a crack shot with a rifle. On the last occasion he attended camp at the Isle of Man, prior to the battalion breaking up he won the battalion prize for shooting. He was associated with the Albert Lodge of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes for over 40 Years. They Celebrated his Golden Wedding Aniversary on Sept 4th, 1936.
