The only thing I know about this one is that it has embossed in one corner the name 'Fred W. The Studio, Wigan'. I found it in my dads box of photos (Richard Holland), but it could be from my grandads time (Thomas Holland).

Would appreciate any help from members.

Mary Ellen attended women's meetings at the Queens Hall Methodist Mission in Wigan, don't suppose this picture shows this women's Mission?

Susan you are right had it confirmed earlier, these ladies are mostly the Sunday school teachers and some of them were there well into the 1940's and beyond

Hi Gem, don't suppose you have a bit more information about the ladies do you?

Thanks for the info 'the borg', Brian and Peter. I'm still trying to find more info but it's a start.

My Grandmother was Lavinia Attenbrough Holland of Wigan. Her father was James Holland a Miner. She married my Grandfather on Dec 27 1919. Could this be the same Holland Family

Hi Joe, will do some research and get back to you, there were a lot of Hollands in the Wigan area
