Painting of Meyrick Bankes 1815 copied by Samuel Mountjoy Smith in 1835 from a minature painted by T.Hargreaves in 1815. Meryick Bankes died in the spring of 1827. This picture is taken from a booklet I have about his funeral.

Is this him in 1805, as Sheriff of Lancashire? Meyrick Holme Bankes. Meyrick would seem to indicate a possible Welsh connection.
