A brilliant photo of a moment caught in time. It all felt so new and exciting, that era; who would have thought it would one day be on a nostalgia website, but that's just what Wigan World is all about. Wonderful!

I think it was this year when six of us from Plessey Wallgate went down to Newquay. We stayed in a caravan. What a great time we had RED HOT for the whole two weeks. Just thought on it was 1969 as we listened to the Moon Landing on the car radio.

First mods in Wigan ? Not really - just a gimmick. Real mods were in Wigan long time before ones in this photo.Just looks like group of lads messing around to be honest.

first mods were going about 64 ish i courted a lad then who was a mod ,my hubby was a mod and myself he had a scooter and parka etc and that was 67 , still a good pic though. also we were incers.

Mods were goin long before..I recognise Neil and Eric and the young Jim Bowen was full of bull sh.....sorry Bulls Eye.
