Is this the Lily Santus from Linney St, in scholes. It certainly looks like her, We lived at 45. Can others remember her
Eeee, I wish my mam was still alive she used to live in Linney St and might have known her, don't know if you knew my mam Doreen Mitchell her mam was called Annie?
It is that lily :) I'd love to have met her but she died before I was born
Eee, that's my great-grandma! Her eldest son Ernest (1909-1988) was my grandad, his second child Hilda is my mum, who married James Foot of Aspull - they now both live in Somerset. This I think is the first time I've ever seen her - she died in about 1975, living in Boyswell House, still in Scholes...nice to see this.
I am so thrilled to see any Santus photos..as I have none nor have I ever met any Santus from Wigan but I know we are all related. My Grandmother was a Santus from Wigan...daughter of Richard and Margaret. She migrated with her husband and 5 children to Australia in about 1912. I have spent many years doing a Family tree for the Santus family, and would love to share it with anyone interested.
