There are quite a few photos like this one on WW in similar poses.They were taken at The Miners Home in Blackpool.

Thats very interesting. There is a picture in the assorted collection under unknown where a couple of people in this picture might be in it but slightly younger my great grandfather included but not 100% sure. The other picture mentions a mens society known as the buffaloes.
