Where Debenhams is, was once Pendleburys department store which was destoyed by fire, they move to a building by the Market Sq I remember.

Hi Helen.They moved to Rushton's old warehouse.

Up past Debenhams, opposite the corner where the road went round to the Ritz, was the National Westminster Bank. Has anyone got a pic of in its heyday ? I used to go in there as a child with my Mother, it seemed like a black & white marble palace to me.
