Looking at an old OS Map of Wigan, I was amazed to find that this pub stood almost on the corner of Old Lane, mid way between the Cherry Gardens roundabout and the Boars Head Pub, about 100yds down from Walter Scott Avenue as you travel to Standish. Pity its no longer there, its only a short crawl from where I now live!

I live in the house built on the site of the Beehive, we still find old spirit bottles and beer tankards when digging around in the garden!
