In 100 years time no doubt people will be saying how nostalgic the lower picture is and how much better things were in the olden days
The Bluecoat School, my wife and I used to go to rehearsals for Wigan Amateur Operatics shows here in the sixties.
Just look at all those cycle routes the council have created.
Again, I know which photo pleases my eye. The church tower is lost in the modern view, its the focal point of the old photo
The church tower is out of view as the angle is different.
My youngest son was at this School in the 70's.. so I stood at those gates so many times,Mr Clarke was the headmaster,I also believed he would not allow any bullying..it was a very happy time in my life..my young son used to go to School looking like Lord Fonkleroy and come out looking like Just William.
