In 1959 my parents moved into 41 Rivington Drive, a new bungalow and I was an apprentice at Leyland Motors. I would run down Alma Hill to The Old Dog, The Owl and down to The Abbey Lakes for the 6.00 am bus to Wigan. I would then run down to Rushtons corner to catch the works bus to Leyland. Long hard days after leaving school. Good photo Ron.
