  Posting this photo the correct way around is long overdue but I haven't yet managed to name all of these Wellfield Hotel customers. I do remember they were all very keen 5 and 3's domino players.

Lovely photo; reminds me of my Dad who was a "vault" man, (in Ince, though, not Beech Hill). I love the Senior Service advert on the wall behind.

A cheery coal fire, the clickety clack of dominoes being shuffled for a new game, the thud of darts hitting the board, laughter, cigarette smoke, a pint of bitter, pork scratchings, friendly banter. I loved my warm, cosy world of boozy befuddlement in the vault. O where has it gone?
