To the Left of that Car in front of Lorry was a Grocer's Shop can't remember name used to put Egg's in Water to see if they were still fresh.Mam used to Work there early 60's.

Of interest to me is the sheeted load on the E.R.F. An everyday sight not too many years ago on every road in the U.K. The only place you're likely to see a load like that nowadays would be on some kind of rally or other, such as the Trans Pennine, and that would be a dummy load.

This must be the early 1970s when they started putting traffic islands in at the top of Market Street and Wallgate, then they started making the roads one-way.
