My Mam once bought me a lovely little bureau from there..but it had to go when we moved into a smaller house...I wish I had it now.

I think the building converted into a furniture store was the old Wesleyan school. The only thing St Johns Hall was converted to was rubble.

Yes as Jack says, this picture is the old Wesleyan school. St. John's hall was to the left of this photo.

I recall passing through the door on the far right many times, turned left inside and along to the cloakroom. I lived further up Dicconson St with my Aunt & Uncle....the house was in the terrace that was demolished....all seems a long time ago now !
We bought our first leather suite from here when it was Centurian Furniture
