This photograph will be early 1986 when the Warburton's building was demolished, and just out of the picture to the right is Morrisons formerly Whelans that will also soon be demolished. The GMT bus is on the recently introduced long express 401 route to Oldham via Hindley, Westhoughton, Bolton, Bury, Heywood and Middleton. This route stopped about 1992.
