This used to be listed as one of the very worst zoos in England. I remember taking my little niece there in the late eighties and seeing a puma or cheetah in one of those small cages. It was unbelievable and thankfully wouldn't be allowed these days.

I worked at weekends here,as a schoolgirl,everyone looked after the animals so well,however the cages were so small for them,especially the pumas.Loved working here,but I think now as an adult I wouldn't be able to cope seeing the animals in such small spaces.
