Abbey Lakes Dance, 1950

The Palais - De - Danse at Abbey lakes was built in the mid 1920s, by the 1960s it became J. J. Bradburns Camping Showroom, about 20 years ago it became a keep fit centre which is still going now.

Jess Greenough and his band used to play at The Monaco in Hindley in the sixties; hands up all those who did "The March of The Mods" to Jess's band!
