The artist has used his own licence here, there are a few differences, the main one being the Parish Church, i wish it had been left as the artist has portrayed it, instead of being hidden behind an anonymous row of nondescripts.

Looks like after they pulled Lowes down,leaving the Parish Church in view.Should have left it like that.

I agree such a pity the Parish Church is hidden.

Hey folks, we are talking about Wigan here.
You can't expect the council to do anything that might be considered aesthetically pleasing, or which meets with the approval of the townspeople. I suppose we should be grateful they didn't replace the old Lowes building with a multi storey car park, or even more bars and amusement arcades.
