It's at the side of the old town hall in Wigan.
Opposite the History Shop and what was Wigan Baths, by the traffic lights at that junction
Had a meal in Francos a couple o'months ago, expensive, but good..;o)
I once heard that the land next to francos is sacred ground and if you look there are grave stones on it ?
The old Swedenborgian church used to be next to this building Karen, but I don't think it had a burial ground.
Who or what were Westwood Estate?
The Westwood Estate was the land, property, and business concerns of the Walmesley family Carol. The office would have been for payment of rents etc.
I remember reading somewhere that this building is older than it looks - that the Victorian facade conceals an 18th century building.
