Demolition of building on corner of Standishgate and Powell Street, to make way for new road.

The building was the Wigan Co Op branch Paul - a pleasant place the like of which seems to have vanished. To the left is the old drill hall - next in line for the wrecking ball no doubt !
The new road you refer to is Northway - another soulless testimony to the moronic ways of our (so called) town planners.
