An advert for two pubs c. 1914 Notice the landlord of the Ship Hotel was the famous Wigan and New Zealand Rugby League player. Lancelot B. Todd. Who the trophy, awarded to the MAN OF THE MATCH at Wembley, is named after.

Was it on the corner? It gives address as Harrogate St. at the top, and as Millgate lower down.

Aireys Brewery buildings still standing,off Chapel Lane used by Bithells scrap merchants.

I have posted on here a picture of the the Landlord William Laycock and his wife who I have discovered were very good friens of my Great Grand Parents.
My grandfather owned the Ship Hotel Harrogate i have photographs of him standing outsidw this pub
