An advert for two pubs c. 1914 Notice the landlord of the Ship Hotel was the famous Wigan and New Zealand Rugby League player. Lancelot B. Todd. Who the trophy, awarded to the MAN OF THE MATCH at Wembley, is named after.

Was it on the corner? It gives address as Harrogate St. at the top, and as Millgate lower down.

My grandfather owned the Ship Hotel Harrogate i have photographs of him standing outsidw this pub
