Karin was the church completely rebuilt or just modified. The graves at the side are no longer there,at the side of the church is now a garden between the church and the graveyard.

The church was totally rebuilt. The church which had been built in 1714 was knocked down after the last service on Sunday July 26th 1891. It took four months to take down and clear. The original sandstone was re-sued on the current church. New sandstone was also used - Runcorn red sandstone, but they mixed the old and new up. The foundation stone was laid by Col Legh on 5th December 1891. In a hollow beneath the stone Lady Gerard placed a glass jar. The glass jar contained :
The Liverpool Courier
A list of subscribers to the Church
The Parish magazine
Silver and copper coins dated 1891.
The builder of the new church was Mr Winnard from Wigan. The new building was completed and opened on July 6th 1893.
I will be posting a few more pics from the Bazaar magazine dated November 1903. Keep looking. Have a look in schools section too.
