Seem to remember a second hand furniture shop her somewhere, was it Preston's? Would have been in the 70s.

Used to buy a lot of my clothes from C and A. I wonder what happened to them?

Duncan, you are right. The furniture shop was Prestons. In the 50s Prestons had another branch in Market St on the original site of Lloyds bank opposite Woodcock St.

Thanks Derek, do you happen to remember if it was Preston's who had the antiques place in St John's Hall in the mid to late 70s?
