The Anvil pub used to be the All Saints back in the 70s and 80s, I think it closed down for a time after that.
Am I wrong in thinking that I used to see Averys when waiting at the Ribble bus station on Hope Street?
Ellen, don't think you would have seen this from Hope Street unless you had x ray vision and could see through the buildings on Market Street and possibly the market hall!
Sorry,I'm Confused--Exactly where is Hallgate? I can't remember. I plead advancing age!-advancing at the gallop!
Hallgate runs from Market Street, turns right round the bus station goes by the post office (sorting office) and joins up with Frog Lane/New Market Street near the Rectory.
